OFFICIAL RULES

1. SPONSOR: WWAOW.com ( http://www.wwaow.com ).
2. RESPONSIBILITY: All legal responsibilities of a contestant under these official rules will be assumed by the contestant's parent or legal guardian if under the age of 18 years.
3. ENTRY: Contestants must enter using the www.publishyourself.com entry forms only. No other entries will be accepted. Entries should be submitted in plain text using the online form located at http://www.publishyourself.com/contest. When registering, at a minimum include the contestant's first name, last name, valid email address and postal address. All correspondence will be by email, so a valid email is essential for entering the contest and receiving notices regarding the contest.
4. LIMITATIONS: Entries must be the original work of the contestant, must not infringe upon third party rights, nor previously have won awards nor have been published. There is no limit to the number of entries per person. Entry must be written in English and no longer than 6000 words (foreign-language entries are ineligible). Open only to people 16 years of age or older. The Sponsor is not responsible for Entries that are inaccurate, fraudulent, incomplete, stolen, lost, illegible, or late entries, each of which will be disqualified. Submissions may be written by individual authors or in collaboration with others, but all participants must be 16 years of age or older. Only one prize check will be paid per entry, regardless of whether the entry was written by an individual or as a collaborative effort. Void where prohibited or restricted by law, and subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations. WWAOW reserves the right to verify and confirm entrants' ages and compliance with other eligibility requirements.
5. PRIZES: One (1) GRAND PRIZE: $250 cash prize, publication of the entry as part of a compilation book, posting for a minimum of one (1) year on www.wwaow.com, www.publishyourself.com and/or, at the sole discretion of the Sponsor, on any other Website URL suitable. Five (5) First Prizes: Publication of the entry as part of a compilation book, one free copy of the compilation book, posting for a minimum of one (1) year on www.wwaow.com, www.publishyourself.com and/or, at the sole discretion of the Sponsor, on any other Website URL suitable. All prizes will be awarded, provided a sufficient number of eligible Entries are received. Grand Prize will be awarded if properly claimed. No substitution, cash redemption or transfer of right to receive prize permitted, except in the discretion of WWAOW, which reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Prize consists only of items expressly specified in these Official Rules. All expenses or costs associated with the acceptance or use of the prize or any component thereof that are not expressly listed in these Official Rules are the responsibility of the winner.
6. PROCEDURES: Contestants will upload an unpublished short story or poem following the online instructions on publishyourself.com. Winners will be decided by the voting of PublishYourself.com registered visitors. To register visitors will fill out a form, (http://www.publishyourself.com/contest/create_account.asp). One vote per valid email address per story. In case of a tie, a panel of WWAOW judges will choose the winner.
7. CONDITIONS: By entering this Contest, each contestant agrees that: [1] he/she will be bound by the Rules and the Sponsor's decisions; [2] the Entry will not be acknowledged or returned; [3] neither the Sponsor, nor any of its officers, directors, shareholders, employees, agents or representatives are responsible for claims, injuries, losses or damages of any kind resulting, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from the awarding, delivery, acceptance, use, misuse, possession, loss or misdirection of any prize or participation in this Contest or in any activity related thereto.
