| The Galactic Entrepreneurby Gunasekara WickramarathnaThere is a large conglomerate company spread throughout the galaxy named Galaxy Financial Holdings (GFH), even though the company was founded by a guy named Andrew living on the earth, the company was not operated in the earth. The company was not only doing business it was involved in intergalactic defense, politics and was controlling economy and transportation of entire universe except for the earth. Andrew taught the earth should kept untouched. He wanted to live a cool normal life in earth even though he was one of the most powerful persons in the galaxy.
The roots of company goes teen age of the Andrew, when he found a out of the box mathematics system from the scratch including the number system. Andrew easily solve many mysteries of the universe with the new numeric system. First of all he discovered the way to extract zero point energy so that any amount of energy requirement was virtually possible. He was working as a IT professional in a local small company. The IT exposure and new numeric system allowed him to build a AI program which can replicate itself build new inventions based on thinking. Andrew used couple of PC's for years to research on intergalactic traveling and finally managed to build a small ship that can use hyperspace to travel planets in millions of light years away within hours.
He choose distance uninhabited planet as his base and setup his self growing computing network there since it was not safe to keep it in earth. After few years of self growth of the network it discovered lots of new technologies which allowed him to start and maintain his conglomerate throughout the universe by means defense, weapons, energy and traveling.
Most of the time he stayed on earth living a normal life since his massive AI network took care of almost all the business operations of the company. When he need to visit other planets he had one of warships orbiting around the earth, however none was able to detect it since it was well shielded. He had an integrated watch which allows instance teleportation between his ship and anywhere of the earth.
It was the year 2009, and world economy was in a big trouble and people was suffering from losing their jobs. The few companies where lots of Andrew's friends were working started to fire people causing lots of his friends to loose jobs. One of his good friend was commit suicided since he could not paid his debts. Andrew felt that it was his fault and he was the one who is responsible for the friends death. Even though Andrew did not knew what was going to happen he knew he could have paid all his friend's debts and save the friend. At this point Andrew determined to use some of his powers to recover the world from this economic crash and make the world a better place.
However Andrew never wanted to expose himself so that he would be a very public figure and didn't wanted paparazzi to follow him wherever he goes. So he thought he must involve someone. Andrew had two very good friends Tom and Paul. They were very good friends with Andrew and were friends since school days to university.
One day Andrew called Tom and Paul and ask them to come to his place so that they could plan something to recover the world from this trouble. Once they came to meet him, he asked them that can they keep a secret and they agreed. Once he explained some brief things about his achievements friends thought that he is out of his mind. So he asked both of his friend to touch his hand and he activated his teleportation device transferring all three of them to his ship in orbit. Not to mention the friends were freaked out and however they recovered.
He took them to the base of operations located 50 billion light years away, where his massive mansion located. Paul and Tom was freaked out when they saw his mansion which was 20 kilometers length and 2 Kilometers high with 10 kilometers in width. It was like an ancient palace however it's rooms and living areas were so big that they were 100's of meters in height. All cleaning and repairing of the mansion was taken care by small robots crawling on walls, ceilings and floors when there was no one in the area.
Three friends sat to have the dinner and discussed what procedure they should take to recover the world from worst economic crisis since the great depression. The decision was to Tom and Paul to meet president of the United States and to offer to start a large company on earth using money from the conglomerate, however they decided that the branch situated in earth should be independent of conglomerate since they did not want earth to come middle of any of intergalactic troubles. The decision was made to start a 100 trillion dollar worth company which would buy few of crippled financial and insurance institutions and some bankrupt banks and also to buy trillions worth of toxic assets.
However there wasn't an easy way to access US president since lots questions need to be answered before meeting him. So they used virtual image projection of Tom and Paul to talk to president when he was alone in the oval office. However Andrew did not show up in this conversation since he did not wanted president to know him.
The president was pretty confused at first however he was eventually accepted that accepting help from the intergalactic corporation is the easiest and quickest way to get out of the economic problems. So Paul and Tom was granted access to the white house in order to discuss the situation. With a some long discussion with president, chairman of the federal reserve and some high officials of united states it's agreed that 100 trillion dollars to be provided to the the new independent company (Earth Finance Holdings (EFH)) for gold worth of same amount. The gold was to be provided from the GFH to EFH as a form of non-derivative loan. Paul and Tom was decided to be as two directors of the company and Andrew was CEO and Chairman of the company, however as per request of the Paul and Tom and given situation it is decided that his information not to publicize.
One large warship transported the gold worth of 100 trillion dollars from the headquarters of GFH to federal reserve and the money was released to the accounts of EFH. It was a Saturday and the news is kept from public until the EFH is start it's work. EFH started it's work by acquiring large financial, insurance and motor companies which were either gone bankrupt, near bankrupt or heavily funded by government. This action released US government from all the financial pressure.
Andrew quit from his position at his software firm to oversee the operations. However he decided to work from a large restaurant where he was loved to hangout. He was giving instructions to Paul and Tom sitting in the restaurant. But after few days manager of the restaurant though Andrew is a trouble for other customers since he was virtually spent entire day at restaurant. So Manager decided to talk to him and send him away. However when he talked to Andrew he made few calls and the restaurant was overpaid it's value and it was eventually taken over by EFH making Andrew the owner of the restaurant.
One of the banks purchased by the EFH was sent on shopping spree on market for toxic assets relieving almost all the banks around the world. It was the Monday and news about EFH was on all newspapers and TV's. This news caused huge boost in market and banks were back in business and most of companies were started to recover. However the recruitment was not fast enough for the Andrew and he never wanted to waste another single life on debts. So he decided to hire everyone who lost there jobs to EFH which is now the largest company in the world, he also added another load of gold to federal reserve to get raise more money to his company to keep it running with it's unusual number of employees. After three months later everything was back to normal and the excessive employees at EFH were sent to other firms which required there service. EFH was making billions of profit since all assets which considered as toxic was soaring the prices. EFH was handed over to federal government since Andrew was no longer interested.
Paul, Tom and Andrew went to the grave of their friend who suicided on the evening after the handing over of the EFH to the government.
