"Leave me alone!" screamed Marni as she ran down the never ending hallway. Her heart was pounding like a jack hammer as she ran. She couldn't stop running, her life depended on it. She was screaming at the top of her lungs yet nobody could hear. She was wailing like a lost child, yet nobody could hear. It was as if she was the only one in the entire world. Alone.
Then she saw him. A tall shawdow of a figure, not even 5 feet away. He raised his hand, and in it was a knife. Sharp enough to cut straight through you.
"NOOOOOOOO!" screamed Marni.He had found her. And now, he was going to kill her.
Marni woke up, dreanched in sweat. She couldn't stop panting."What happend to me?" she said as she got out of bed.Her nightmares were happening again. She got up and walked to her mirror. Her eyes had black circles around them.
"So much for beauty sleep" she yawned. She was so tired, she could barely stand up. She made her way down stairs to the kitchen, only to find her mom making breakfast.
"Good morning sleepy head" said her mom."Don't you have school today?" Marni looked at the calender. Friday. School, just another exuse to get her out of the house.
"I don't feel good" moaned Marni.
"You're going to school and thats final" said her mother in a sweet yet stern voice. Marni hauled herself upstairs to get dressed. She picked out a white smiley faced T-shirt and a pair of blue jeans. She tied her brown hair into a tight ponytail and picked up her backpack. She ran downstairs to the door.
" Have a nice day" said her mother.
" Sure" said Marni. She loved her mother, but she should of let her stay home after all she went through last night.She went to school, only to find out that someone was following her. She started to walk faster but the stalker stayed right behind. She broke out into a full sprint and ran like the wind. She was scared to death. She ran faster and faster until she ran into someone.
"Whatch were your going" said the voice. It was TJ, her very annoying friend.
"Sorry" said Marni" Someone was following me." TJ looked behind her,
" Theres no one there" said TJ.
" I swore someone was following me" swore Marni.
" No time" said TJ" We have school to get to." They ran to school as fast as possible.
School went by like a blur. Marni couldn't stop thinking about her nightmare.
" you only sit like that when something's wrong" said Drea.Drea was Marni's best friend from kindergarden.
" I had a nightmare" said Marni.
" What was it about?" asked Drea.
" About that guy who tries to kill me, he has a very sharp knife that could cut you in half." said Marni" I'm scared"
" I would be to if I was being chased by a phsyco killer maniac" quoted Drea.
" I also had a feeling that someone was following me this morning" said Marni.
" Probably just some perv looking for girls" said Drea.
" I just can't shake the feeling that I'm being watched" quoted Marni. Just then an ear piercing scream filled the hallway. Drea and Marni rushed to the scene. It was TJ. His throat was slit and blood was pooling out of the wound.Drea couldn't help but throw up. In TJ's hand was a note. Marni picked it up. It reads...
" I'm watching you Marni" After reading the note Marni passed out on the floor.
"He's going to kill me" yelled Marni. She woke up. Drea was sitting next to her.
" You're okay" said Drea" You freaked and passed out"
" Where's my mom?" asked Marni.
" She was here a few hours ago" said Drea" She said she would be back in a few hours."
" Is TJ okay?" asked Marni.
" TJ's dead Marni" said Drea Sadly' " I thought you knew"
" I thought that was a dream" said Marni.
" No" said Drea" It was as real as you and me" The two couldn't help but sob. They didn't stop crying for a full 10 minutes. They hugged and said goodbyes.
" I got to go" said Drea" but I'll be back tomorrow"
" Bye" said Marni. Then Drea left. She was alone in a hospital room. She checked the clock 11:35. She wanted to sleep but she couldn't not after what happened. Her friend was dead, nobody could sleep after that. Most of all she was scared. Scared for her life. She was afraid that the man would come and slit her throat, just like TJ's. Just then the nurse came in.
" Hey Marni" said the nurse" How are you feeling?"
" Good" said Marni.
"Someone left this card for you" said the nurse as she set it on teh bed side table.
" It could be from my mom" said Marni. Then the nurse left. Marni opened the get well card. She gasped and dropped the card. It said...
"Drea is next" He was going to kill Drea. Marni had t save her before it was to late. She got out of the hospital bed and ran to the outside door. People tried to stop her but she kept on running. She made outside without being stopped. Now all she had to do was to get to Drea's house before the killer did.
" I think I'm going to watch a movie" said Drea. She picked out her favorite movie,The phantom of the Opera, popped some pop corn and sat down. She was getting to her favorite part when then phone rang. She picked it up.
" Hello" said Drea.
" Drea it's me Marni" said Marni
" What?" asked Drea.
' Get out of your house and meet me on first street" said Marni and hung up. Drea put on her fur coat and left. She met Marni on First street.
" He's after you Drea" yelled Marni" I got a letter saying that he was going to kill you!"
"We got to go!" yelled Drea. Just then a gunshot went off. Drea hit the pavement with a loud thud.
" Drea!!!!" Screamed Marni. The bullet hit her in the back of the head. Blood ozed out of the wound. She screamed. The man was coming towards her. She had no choice but to leave Drea in the middle of the sidewalk and run. She ran full speed, and so did the man. Marni ran, ra into the street. She might get hit by a car, but she didn't care. As long as she was seen by people, she was safe. The man was closer now, so close she could hear him breathing. She ran into an old warehouse.

She dropped to the ground, crying. She Knew she was going to die. She then saw him. A shawdow figure not only 5 feet away. He raised his blade. Marni still cried, but she couldn't move. Then he grabbed her. She tried to resist but she couldn't. With one swift move of his blade, her cut Marni's throat. Her body fell from his grasp. She was dead. Like all the others, she was dead.
Marni woke up, this time for real. She was panting. She couldn't belive what happend. She thought she was still dreaming, but she wasn't. She was back in reality. She couldn't belive it. She ran downstairs to her mom.
" Good morning sleepy head" said her mom with the most beautiful smile. She knew she wasn't dreaming. All of those things never happend. Marni went to call Drea.
" Hello" answered Drea. Marni was so happy to hear her voice. They talked for hours about random stuff and her nighmare. About how she was having these nightmares about her friends dying and her death. She talked about how scared she was and how the killer killed her. They said their goodbyes and hung up. She called TJ and did the same thing. She was just so happy to be alive. She ran down the stairs to hug her mom.
" Why are you so happy?" asked her mom.
" Just happy to be alive" answered Marni. She dashed upstairs and got dressed. She sprinted to school to greet her friends. She couldn't belive that what happened in her dream wasn't true. Just then a shadow figure watched Marni from a distance. In his hand was a blade, and on the blade was Marni's blood.
